The two-factor theory overlooks situational variables. Herzberg assumed a correlation between satisfaction and productivity. But the research conducted by Herzberg stressed upon satisfaction and ignored productivity. The theory's reliability is uncertain.Stanley Schachter, a famous psychologist, proposed the two-factor theory of emotions, which said that people label their emotions according to their environment and their physiological cues. So, for example, when your heart started racing and your palms began to sweat, you needed to know why you felt that way.
