1) Select a data source to analyze in Staterunch (Select Explore; Data) -Specify one research question your group would like to address with this data source. -Using Statcrunch, construct one or more graphs (e.g, histogram or box plot) and calculate some descriptive statistics (e.g., mean, variance, standard deviation, skew, etc.) that will help provide some initial infomation regarding your research questions. Develop a hypothesis test that would be amenable to a one sample t test. What are the results of your test in the context of the problem? What are some research questions that you cannot address from the available data?

Answer #1

Terminalx Console length(mtcarsShp) #hp of 32 cars is the default dataset in R here [1] 32 >mtcars$hp # 32 data points of hp

000 000 00 00 09 250

Histogram of HP 50 100 150 200 250 300 350 HP Frequency 7

From the above histogram of the data we can say that the data is right/positively skewed. The above analysis is done in R. You can use any tool to do the same.
