Answer #1

The Neoliberalism has impacted a lot of women's empowerment. Women no longer have any control on their own lives and the society has also taken full control over it. There are many reasons why women have lost control of themselves. Women are now expected to do the domestic tasks that are not beneficial to the society and are also made uncomfortable and awkward. They are expected to reject their traditional roles completely. Working women were completely dominated by their male counterparts. Women in the home had very little role in or even thought about raising children and were even less likely to be employed outside the home. The power of women has diminished greatly and the influence of women in society has decreased greatly. The work-life imbalance leads to a situation where women experience that they can only progress if they work or to make money. They are dependent on men as husbands and fathers to support them financially and they are the ones who get the men who are younger or who have money to depend on. The legal system is highly gender biased with the same values applied everywhere except in the United States whereby several measures the treatment of women has improved. Neoliberalism dismisses the social support system and weakens the social capital of the women. The further increasing global inequality of women and the impact of globalization on their rights has become increasingly visible. The new reality demands new approaches to gender justice, especially regarding the fight against poverty and this is not be limited to the developed world. In developing countries, like India and Bangladesh women have every right to fight against any inequality.
