A giant warehouse assigns each item in the warehouse a unique number from 1 to the number of items in the warehouse. When a consumer purchases an item, that unique number is made part of the purchase record to aid in the picking of the item. Displaying the list of items in any other order than the index number happens rarely. Which data structure is the best to implement this scenario and why?

A suitable Data structure which can be used here is a sorted
Linked List. While inserting, we'll always insert the item to the
appropriate position.
Reasons:
- Since, we don't need random access to an element (items are
displayed according to the index number)
- Size of purchase record is not fixed. It can vary based on how
many items are purchased.
