Answer is third option, Cd(II)

In a complex, the colour of the ions is mainly depends upon the electronic transitions. If the electronic transition does not occur, the ion appears colourless when placed in an octahedral crystal field.

The ion which has filled d-orbitals is colourless because the d-d transition does not occur.

Cd(II) is colorless when placed in octahedral crystal field, because the d-orbitals are completely filled and hence d-d transition does not occur.

Cu(II) - 3d 9

Cr(III) -3d 3

Cd(II) - 3d10 ( completely filled d-orbitals, hence d-d transition does not occur)

Co(III) - 3d 6
