Answer #1

Ans-1. Agricultural development can stimulate economic development outside of the agricultural sector, and will lead to higher job creation. Increase productivity of agriculture raises farm income, increases food supply, reduces poverty and provide various employment opportunities in the both rural and urban areas.

Agriculture is known as the backbone of developing countries. It accounts for 30% to 60% of the total GDP and employs about 70% of the total workers.

In developing country subsistence farming is designed mainly to generate products for sale off the farm. The one type of commercial agriculture found in developing countries rather than more developed countries is mixed crop and livestock.

Agriculture sector can reduce hunger as it ensures the food security of developing countries. The drive toward food security has seems to be slowed in recent years. The growth rate of agricultural production is declining, the world grain reserves have shrink to record lows, the commitments of aid to agricultural development have decreased as well and thus it boosting the demand for imported grain.
