Answer #1

Answer:

The somatic cells of the hedgehog are diploid and have 90 chromosomes. We know the ploidy of the somatic cell is reduced to half when they are converted to gametes. This segregation of homologous chromosomes helps in maintaining the ploidy of the offspring from generation to generation. So when sperm cells would form from the somatic cells , they will become haploid and the number of chromosomes will become 45 . This will happen in case of eggs also.
