The cytochrome c1(Fe3+) half cell reaction undergo reduction,its standard reduction potential is higher.The lipoic acid will undergo oxidation.The overall cell potential can be calculated by using the equation.

E0 cell = E0 reduction - E0 oxidation

     = 0.22V-(-0.29V)

   = 0.22V+0.29V

     = 0.51V

The standard cell potential is positive,so the reaction is spontaneous.
