1. How would you apply positive and negative reinforcement in the classroom to prepare them for the behavior in the scenario above?

Positive reinforcement can be applied in the classroom by praising children when they perform the desired action so they associate the action with the praise (reward) and do it more often. The praise is a reinforcing stimulus in this case.

Negative reinforcement, can be applied in the classroom by stopping children to talk in the classroom by saying "Keep quiet or make a silence".

2. Explain the type of reinforcement that would be the most effective to sustain the desired behavior in the scenario from the question below:

Positive reinforcement will be better in this case. This is because through positive reinforcement children will be praised everytime when they receive will stop doing what they are doing on receiving my signal. This reinforcement will stop children from losing focus from my instructions and follow this behavior everytime.
