Explanation : Cytidine triphosphate (CTP) is an allosteric modulator of the Aspartate transcarbamylase, which catalyzes an early reaction in the biosynthesis of pyrimidine nucleotides. This is the highly regulated enzyme which catalyses the condensation of Aspartate and Carbamoyl phosphate resulting in the formation of N-carbamyl-L-aspartate. This enzyme is allosterically regulated/inhibited by CTP (end product of pyrimidine pathway), and activated by ATP.
