We can use the Z Test of Hypothesis for the Proportion for testing for proportion.

The test is given by,

\\H_0 : p=.55 \\H_0 : p \neq .55

The test statistic is given by,

Z = \frac{p-p_0}{\sqrt{\frac{p_0-q_0}{n}}}

And hence substituting and using the z-table,
