a) A chemical reaction in the battery provides energy for the moving electrons.

As there exist a potential difference in the cathode and anode in the battery. The electrons moves towards the positive end because of this potential energy.

2) We know,

w = F.s

here, w = work done

F = frictional force= 7 N

s = displacement= 21 m

Now, the work done= 7×21= 147 N

The correct option is : a) 147 N
