Answer #1

a) Molarity= no. Of moles of solute/V(L

7.5 = n/1.39 [n= number of moles]

n = 1.39 x 7.5 = 10.425

weight/molecular weight = no. of moles

weight = no. of moles x molecular weight

= 10.425 x 36.46

=380.09 g

b) 0.260 = n/(11.3/1000)

n = (0.26 x 11.3)/1000

= 0.002938

weight of NaOh = 0.002938 x 40

= 0.1175g

c)1.77 = n/(251/1000)

n = (1.77 x 251)/1000

= 0.44427

weight of HNO3 = 0.44427 x 63.01

= 27.99 g

d) 0.522 = n/ 3.65

n = 0.522 x 3.65

= 1.9053

weight of CaCl2 = 1.9053 x 110.98

= 211.45g
