Dave

oppurtunity cost of mow lawn =2 wash cars

oppurtunity cost of wash cars =0.5 mow lawn.

Jack

oppurtunity cost of mow lawn =1wash cars

oppurtunity cost of wash cars =1 mow lawn.

Matt

oppurtunity cost of mow lawn =0.5 wash cars

oppurtunity cost of wash cars =2 mow lawn.

If they want to mow lawn ,then matt is first choice because of his low oppurtunity cost and follwed by Jack and then Dave is last choice because of his high oppurtunity cost.

Matt can mow lawn in 8hours = 8*2 =>16 lawns per day.

So if they need to mow a total of 16 lawns per day then they can wash at most

=> (8*1)+(8*2) => 8+16 =>24 cars.

If they instead need to mow a total of 22lawns per day then they can wash atmost

=> (8*2)+(2*1) => 16+2 => 18 cars.
