In the patellar tendon reflex, what is the name of the receptors being struck by the reflex hammer?

Muscle spindle or spindle fibers are strech receptors which carry the sensation to spinal cord.

When a hammer hits the patella the stimulus from the receptor is carried to the spinal cord by a sensory neuron and return the stimulus to quadricep muscle for contraction by a motor neuron. It is a reflex action involving very short circuit.
