Emotional intelligence: It is the ability to discriminate and monitor one's own and other people's emotions and to use the information from the emotion to guide thinking and behaviour. It is also known as Emotional Quotient ( EQ). EQ is a metric similar to IQ, but measuring one's perception of emotions.

Option 1: Admit to feelings such as anger and sadness and act on those feelings in a healthy manner : It is an important indicator of emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence will enable an individual to admit their emotions and also express it in a healthy manner.  

Option 4: Avoid passive agressive responses to situation that cause anger or frustration:

Passive agressive emotions will cause anger and frustration in individuals. Individuals with EQ will express their emotions assertively and in a healthy manner.  

Option 5: Exhibit socially appropriate behaviour , and use social skills to help others to manage emotions: People with EQ , not only behave in a socially approved manner but also help others to manage their emotions.

Nurses, has to be sensitive to others' emotions and experiences . She has to consider the differences in opinion expressed by the team members and the patient, and should analyse the different opinions to check the pros and cons of each opinion. For this she need a good EQ.
