just another way of saying good target marketing and understanding customer needs? Why or why not?
Understanding of customer needs is essential to map a good target market to position an offering in. This is so because the demographics of the customers, besides other factors such as the cultural impact of the offering upon them, the distribution channels and approachability to the customers, etc., have a direct bearing upon the target marketing activity. When the customer needs as assessed properly, the research could be moved towards that direction and accordingly such an offering could be introduced in the Target market, where acceptance of the same is guaranteed. Hence, a good target marketing shall depend upon understanding of customer needs and evaluating the same so that the offering is effectively placed in such a market.
