Crisis communication management involves all activities around the management of relevant information exchange with the key constituents and stakeholders that are affected by the crisis. These stakeholders can be internal (employees, board of directors, managers, owners) or external (suppliers, distributors, customers, local communities, creditors, potential investors, government, etc.). In most cases a crisis will require the management of communication with several stakeholders, both internal and external. This does not mean that all of them will be equally important -- based on the nature of the crisis the role, and therefore the importance of some stakeholders will vary. For this discussion, find an example of a crisis where the role of some internal stakeholder(s) is the most critical, and an example where the role of some external stakeholder(s) is the most critical. Explain what that particular stakeholder's role is critical for the crisis and why the crisis communication management should focus on that group(s).

Include in your discussion post, personal observations as well as concrete examples to support your views. Initial posts should be at least two paragraphs and include direct references to the readings and/or additional articles. Word choice and sentence structure should be suitable for professional level work, and all sources should have appropriate references and citations.

Answer #1

Answer : Financial crisis is situation when business bear losses in assets and won't able to pay off their liabilities. It is the example when role of internal stakeholders is critical it is so because all the policies are framed , executed and operated by internal stakeholders. Board of directors frame policies and make decisions and these decisions are executed by employees and managers recruited in company and on basis of voting of owners decisions are taken. Hence financial crisis will reflect bad decision making. Crisis communication management should be focus on board of directors who are responsible for wrong decision making. Because managers and employees are following policies framed by board of directors. Hence in case of financial crisis, crisis communication management should focusing on board of directors.

Natural crisis includes one of most recent crisis that is pandemic COVID-19 which negatively impacted almost all business organizations. During this crisis external stakeholders plays critical role as all external stakeholders including creditors who provide credit and government who frames policies according to economical conditions. Hence crisis communication management should be more focussing towards government in order to ensure certainty in future and policies in order to tackle from current natural crisis.

Hence it is hereby concluded that due to above reasons communication crisis management should be focusing on respective stakeholders.
