Labour relations regulations at federal level:-

Employees have to face jurisdictional cahallenge from the employer.

The resources are available through the labour programme.

The important aspect is to be suited for proceeding against employer for claiming wrong dismissal, the cases will be accepted with in two years by court.

The advantage in federal regulations is the security element which is afforded by section 240.

Labour relations regulations at provincial levels:-

Majority of labour relations, regulations are of provincial regulations.

Large majority of working population is regulated provincially

The judicial branch in regulated provincial will be Provincial Supreme court.

And the head of the office is Lieutenant governer.

The unfair labour practices that are applied to employers:-

Some of the unfair labour practices that are applied to the employers are

- Unfair dismissal.

- Wrongful termination.

- Retrenchment.

- Layoffs

- Lockouts.

In the case of unions, there will be the activities of collective bargaining and protection, mutual benefits to all the union members.

The unions can fight against the employer for all the wrongful activities on the employees.

The trade Unions are protected by the law.

Role of business agent and a shop steward:-

Stewards are different from business agents.

Stewards are ellected by the union membership to act as representatives of employees.

Stewards are involved in working of employees on the complaints and any other grievances.

Stewards takes part in any investigations.

Business agents deals with the day to day business issues.

Business agents are employed by the labour unions for acting as a representative on behalf of them .

- Various monetary benefits

- Various terms of employments.

- Obligations

- Roles and responsibilities.
