Answer #1

Neurons are the cells that are present inside the nervous system and its function is to transfer the information, signals to the other muscle, gland, and nerve cells.

It is described as a comprising division of

Axon is also termed as nerve fiber and it is a portion of the nerve cells that conveys nerve impulses away from a soma or a cell body.

Soma contains a nucleus and other structures that are well-known to the living cells.

Function: it provides chemical processing of a neuron and produces a protein.

Dendrites are branches of the neurons.

function: its function to receive the signal from the other neurons and it receives the communications from the other cells.

Synapse is a neuronal junction.

function: its function is to transmit the electric information from one cell to different.

While the classic synapse is one between an axon and a dendrite, axons can create synapses with any part of a neuron. The major kinds are axo-somatic (axon synapses with the soma of the post-synaptic neuron), axo-dendritic (the classic synapse), and axo-axonic (creates a synapse with the post-synaptic neurons axon). How do you think location of these synapses would affect the generation of an action potential?
