INTRODUCTION

Paediatric population are persons aged 21 or younger at the time of their diagnosis or treatment.

Disease process includes the following components;1. agent, reservoir,portal of entry and exit,mode of transmission and immunity.

So, while treating the pediatric, inorder to identify the disease process, proper and careful history collection is important.Then only the health care provider knows about the origin of the disease. if they know the origin then can easily identify the diagnosis.

Once a child is exposed to any of the disease agent, then he becomes a reservoir which means that the organisms entered starts multiplying or pathogen depend on the child for their survival.

The portal of entry and exit of a particular disease. usually is first affected by the young children.The organisms which entered into the body gets out of the body through any portals and get transmitted to other populations.

The mode of transmission usually happens either through direct or indirect contact.

Immunity is achieved by through the vaccinations which is given right from the birth.

CONCLUSION;

Thus this is ho, the various stages of disease transmission occurs in pediatrics.
