Ethics are a set of guiding moral principles which dictate and govern the behaviour of a person. In cyber-security this ethics play a very legal and binding role.

Without ethics, cybersecurity people cannot be distinguished from other criminals of black hat type from whom they protect the important data and information. If professionals do not have working ethics they will themselves cause more harm to people by stealing data and spying on them. In this regards, ethics is absolutely important aspect of this system

Reputation of a person or organisation can be damaged irreversibly if cybersecurity professionals do not conform the the set ethical standards.
