Answer #1

# 1. Cell count from the hemocytometer = 6.5 x 106.

Actual capacity of T75 flask = 8.4 x 106

Percentage of the cells = (6.5 x 106/8.4 x 106) X 100 = 77.3%

2. Hemocytometer is the more accurate method beacuse, we count the cells mannually.

3. Hemocytometer is the best method in determining the cell confuency whille seeding cells.

    A) You are planning an experiment using the monolayer cell line X. You know that 2.70E+05 X cells gives you a 90.00% confluency in a T25 flask. Determine the number of cells needed to add to a T75 flask to obtain 60.00% confluency. Please answer using the scientific notation and one decimal point. T25 flask area 25cm^2, volume 5ml T75 flask area 75cm^2, volume 20ml B) . If X cells are resuspended in media at a concentration of 7000 cells/mL,...

Helpppp Your cells are ready to split and you prepare to scale-up. Write a protocol for this scale-up in enough detail that anyone in your laboratory could follow your exact procedure. Your protocol should answer the following questions. How will you release the cells from the substrate? How will you split the contents of the flask (what kind of flasks, how many flasks, how much medium, etc.) for scale-up (10 points)? All of your flasks of cells are ready to...

this is a bacterial growth curve experiment . please explain rhe results Procedure: You will follow the growth of E. coli over the course of the period (3 hrs) by making direct counts of the bacterial suspension by measuring the turbidity of a sample at a given time with a spectrophotometer. The data obtained from the direct counts will be used to plot a partial growth curve. Summary: Turbidity Counts with the Spectrophotometer to measure absorbance at 600. Direct Counts...

(30 points) Your colleague in the laboratory was able to collect all his raw data from a growth curve on the Hela S3 cell line, but had to leave unexpectedly and has asked you to perform cell calculations to show your professor. This what your colleague did: he seeded cells into a 24-well plate (allows for replicate sampling and it is much easier to handle one 24-well plate rather than 24 flasks), and on each of the days indicated in...
