When a series of wheel loads crosses the girder then absolute maximum bending moment ( AMBM) occurs below one of the wheel load. The absolute maximum bending moment occurs when position of load is such that the Centre of the span is mid way between CG of load system and the load under consideration. The load under consideration is that load which is either nearest to CG of load system or next nearest to CG of load system. If nearest load is heavier then AMBM will occur below this heavy load else if lighter load is nearer then check on both loads.
