  • In 2020, access time of 5 nano seconds will be typical for DRAM ( DYNAMIC RAMS).
  • At present, DRAM has a least access time of 50 nano seconds only.
  • Whereas SRAM (CACHE) will have a least access time of less than 10 nano seconds.
  • So according to the memory hierarchy, SRAM (CACHE) is at the top of memory hierarchy with fast access rates compared to DRAMS which are at next level in the memory hierarchy.
  • Drams have a typical acess rate of 5 nano seconds in 2020.
  • Srams can have less than 10 ns of access time.
