5. If the person requires 2400kcal per day,

Each gram of fat contains 9 calories.

then fat from the kcal = 2400/9

Kcal that comes from fat = 266.6

That is 29 grams of fat per day.

6. To Lose 10 pounds of weight, the person should consume a total of 1500calories per day. It is further divided into 300calories for breakfast, 400 calories for lunch, 500 calories for dinner. The person should limit intake of solid fat, sugar, and sodium.

Sample meal plan to lose 10 pounds of weight

  • 1 slice bread, 1 cup cereal, and for snacks smoothie with 3/4 cup strawberries and 2/3, not fat yogurt - 300calories.
  • For lunch, a grilled chicken sandwich with one cup of mixed fruit - 400 calories
  • For dinner, Black bean soup, bread with chicken salad, - 470 calories.

7. The person consuming 260 extra calories per day for two weeks.
