1. Calculate Brandon's BMI

Step 1:

BMI formula = 703 X mass in lbs / (height in inches)2

Mass = 200lbs

Height = 6 feet

1 foot = 12inches

Height = 6 X 12 = 72 inches

Step 2:

By applying into above formula,

BMI = 703 X 200 / (72)2

= 703 X 200 / 5184

= 27.12

Brandson's BMI is 27.1

His weight category comes under overweight.

2. According to the body fat chart for men, Brandson's fitness category shows poor.

3. Calculate Goal body weight

Lean body mass = 100 - body fat percentage

Lean body mass = 100 - 26

= 74

Lean weight = Weight - Lean body mass

= 200 - 74

= 126

Goal body weight = lean weight / (100 percent - desired body fat percent)

= 126 / (1.00 - 0.16)

= 126 / 0.84

Goal body weight = 150lbs.

Amount of weight to be reduced = 200 - 150 = 50lbs
