Answer #1

36. B. #3.

Phosphorylation of Rb is more important for the progression of cell cycle from G1 to S pahse. In S phase the DNA content will increase. Since the cell cylce is not progressed form G1 phase, the DNA content remains same and did not increase at all.

While comparing the amino acid sequences of many different GPCRs, you notice the presence of conserved serine and threonine amino acids on the same cytosolic region of each receptor. You change the DNA sequence so that all of the conserved serine and threonine amino acids in the cytosolic region are converted to glutamic acid. Which of the following effects would you most likely see when cells expressing this modified GPCR are exposed to ligand compared to your control cells that...

    32. Study the signaling pathway illustrated below, which involves two different receptors. Assume that a protein is active only when it is activated, but not inhibited, by its upstream signaling molecules. Activation and inhibition are indicated by normal and blunt arrows, respectively. Assume that the transcription regulator can be activated by either the binding protein or the kinase that are immediately upstream of the transcription factor. Under which of the following conditions will the expression of target:gene "X" be induced?...
