Answer #1

Cyclin S are important for DNA replication and will be present till late G2 phase and if the cyclin S is mutated in restricted temperature , the cell cannot proceed after G1 phase and cells will accumulate in G1 phase itself

Hence the answer is #3

It has only cells in G1 phase

Inspired by Lee Hartwell's Nobel Prize (2001), you decide to study cell cycle regulation in yeast. You know that the expression of a cell cycle-associated kinase, Cdk24p, changes throughout the cell cycle, being very high in G 1/S and low in G2/M. Nevertheless, mRNA levels for CDK24 are constant throughout the cell cycle. You decide to study how this regulation occurs. You isolate a temperature sensitive mutant cell linethat fails to divide at the non-permissive temperature and notice that Cdk24p...

You are looking to design the first couple of units in a fermentation suite. The cells and product are particularly delicate. The cells need a substrate, S, that is extremely expensive. However we can make substrate S from a cheap reactant, A, and a slightly expensive reactant, B. At the end of the exam is a diagram of the whole system. Species A is continously fed into a reactor (Caf 1 mol/ vo 2 L/ s) initilly charged with species...
