Let us take into consideration the business that deals in the software development industry. Name of the business is “Sansoft services”. The business is headquartered in India and has several branches across various cities of India.

The vision of this business is to be the leader in the web based solution to the businesses of the clients across the globe.

Mission of the company is that they want to excel in providing the web based solution to the businesses that are located in India.

The business of sansoft works by employing the strategy of cost leadership in the market. They offer quality services to their clients at the least possible prices that the other competitors are not able to provide. Their plan is to extend their services to the global markets and to acquire the businesses from the top leading companies of the global level. This company is having the functional structure where the company is divided in the form of departments such as human resource department, marketing department, project department and finance department. Company follows the diverse culture and employs the people tha belongs to varied culture. Company is headed by CEO who is the owner of the company and it is a limited liability corporation.

Organisation’s human resource department consists of human resource director and several executives that act as the human resource team members. It includes the hierarchy of people where executives are being allotted with the roles of recruiting, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, health and safety and employee and labour relations.

Human resource department carry the functions of recruiting, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, health and safety and employee and labour relations. Recruitment is carried out by conducting campus interviews in the colleges and the university by the employees of the HR department. Training and development of the newly recruited and selected employee is carried out in the company by the human resource director and the experts from the university and benchmarked companies. Compensation and benefit administration is carried through a system that the company uses to evaluate the performance of the employees over the metrics that has been set by the company. Health and safety manual is provided to all of the employees at the time of boarding of the candidates and HR health manager conducts weekly audit of the health and safety of the employees in lines with the manual.

Company’s performance and evaluation strategy is very weak. It does not include all of the parameters that are needed to motivate the employees properly. It does not have any provision for best performance in the year and the metrics for dedication. These parameters should be included in the system of the performance appraisal as it would help in getting more productivity from the employees.
