We have learned about the components that make up the manufacturing costs also known as products costs (direct materials, direct labor, manufacturing overhead, and/or conversion costs). Of all the components that make up the manufacturing costs, which one do you think is most important and why?

The most important component that make up the manufacturing cost of a product is direct materials.material is the first and most important element of a production process  .without direct materials there will be nothing to begin the maufacturing process after all.the all other manufacturing costs such as direct labour and manufacturing overheads comes after recognising the direct materials .So ,direct materials is the most important component of manufacturing costs.
