Answer #1

a. A cash sale was recorded in the sales account as $237 instead of $273 but was correctly recorded in the bank account.

In a trial balance both debit and credit will be balanced. Here, a cash sale is recorded in sales account as $237 which is on the credit side. But a correct amount of $273 is recorded on the debit side. Thus, debit side will be more than credit side and there will be a difference of $36 .Thus we can identify there is an error from the trial balance.

All the errors from other options cannot be identified from trial balance as their credit and debit will be balanced.
