Answer #1

1) Molding overhead rate = (11000/2500+1.8) = 6.2 per MH

Fabrication overhead rate = (15600/1500+2.6) = 13 per MH

2) Molding overhead applied

Job P Job Q
Molding overhead 2100*6.2 = 13020 1200*6.2 = 7440

3) Fabrication overhead applied

Job P Job Q
Fabrication overhead 1000*13 = 13000 1300*13 = 16900

4) Total manufacturing cost for Job P

Job P
Direct material 17000
Direct labor 24200
Molding overhead 13020
Fabrication overhead 13000
Total manufacturing cost 67220
