More than 50 users who run Windows 10 are certain they need to purchase additional disks because they are nearly out of space. However, the budget is tight and it is important to eliminate unnecessary purchases. What options can you explain to them before their department heads order new disks?

Run scandisk and disk defragmenter. Then run a disk cleanup. This will likely help, at least a bit. I would also recommend running the chkdsk utility as well. This will help to clean up the (most likely) massive number of issues plaguing the disk. There is additionally the option of deploying a RAID of one level or another; I would suggest level 5. Level 5 RAID will enable more reliability, increased storage capacity, and increased speed. Although Windows 10 doesn’t technically have “RAID 5”, you can create spanned disks regardless; which is just as effective for the same reasons as RAID 5 is.
