In engineering applications, the steady-flow mixing of two streams of the same fluid is another common process. The section where the mixing process takes place is referred to as a mixing chamber, as shown in Figure Q4. The mass flow rate and the energy of the flowing fluid for the inlets, are shown in the figure. Knowing that the amount of heat loss to the surrounding is 5.5 kW. Determine the energy carried from this rigid mixing chamber by the...

In order to provide a steady flow of water to small plants in your garden, you have decided to build a DIY homemade watering system. You have your watering sytem by taking several 5 gallon buckets and drilled a 1/8" hole at the very bottom of each bucket. In this way, water will use gravity to flow out when watering your plant. The cheapest and convenient bucket you found at a convenient store has a shape of a truncated cone as...

Need help finding a product to replace that would be more environmentally friendly. For example, common store polyethylene plastic bags, straws, aluminum/steel cans. Essentially these could be considered as the packaging products. I'd prefer that the product isn't straws or so common. Please cite where the information was given also. Here are some of the things that I am looking for: 1. What the material is made out of? ---> Like High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is made from common plastic containers...
