Very biodiverse ecosystems are of great economic importance to mankind. Biological biodiversity deals with the enormous diversity of living species dwelling in an ecosystem. Each specie has an important role. Species support biological production and regulation throughout the food chain in various ways such as pollination, fertility, plant growth. Large biodiverse areas can be of good interest as a source of raw material for research works thus helping mankind. They provide us with nutrient rich food and fodder. They also serve to be good source of medicines, cosmetic products, chemical products. A healthy forest ecosystem purifies the air and water, generate fertile soil, habitat to several species. The Amazon rainforest is estimated to produce through photosynthesis, 20% of total oxygen in the earth's atmosphere. These largely diverse ecosystems are reserviour of our ancestoral wealth which must be passed on safely to the future generation turning up.
