Vapor pressure is the pressure at which the gas is in equillibrium with its liquid phase.

Since the liquid has a higher vapor pressure , it will be highly volatile in nature and the normal boiling point of the compound will be low.

So in such a case the liquid will be more likely to be present in gas phase.
