Question about diffraction.

Huygens principle :-It states that every point on a wavefront is itself the source of spherical wavelets. The sum of these spherical wavelets forms the wavefront.

If every wave point is a source of an spherical wave, why don't see the circular shape before it pass the slit? Can you answer with a drawing. Thanks

Also, are wavelets an imaginary thing?

Huygens' PrincipleHuygens' principle (first described by the Dutch scientist Christiaan Huygens in 1678) uses geometry to determine the shape of a wavefront at atime , given some initial wavefront at an earlier time. This can be constructed by imagining that the initial wavefront is a source of wavelets that propagate from each point at the speed of light. From thisprinciple, one can determine the angles of reflection and refraction by considering the speed of light at each point on the wavefront....

The Painter class should extend JFrame in its constructor.  Recall that you will want to set its size and the default close operation. You will also want to create an overall holder JPanel to add the various components to. It is this JPanel that...

Please read the article and answer about questions. You and the Law Business and law are inseparable. For B-Money, the two predictably merged when he was negotiat- ing a deal for his tracks. At other times, the merger is unpredictable, like when your business faces an unexpected auto accident, product recall, or government regulation change. In either type of situation, when business owners know the law, they can better protect themselves and sometimes even avoid the problems completely. This chapter...

Name: Integumentary System Case Study: Jon's Story (Each question is worth 0.5 pts) At 63 years old, Jon was retiring early by most people's standards, but he felt it was time and he was looking forward to it. His mind wandered as he raked the dry remnants of his front yard. The African summer had been hotter than usual but he had always worked outdoors and the warmth of the sun on his face felt good. Jon had grown up...
