TCP in the sense transmission control protocol and udp means user datagram protocol
protocol is nothing but it follow set of rules
these are used for the how data can be transfer over the network.
tcp is connection oriented protocol which means it require connection both sides for example if some one sent message to other person during the transmission if any packets are missing they can re transmit if what are missing
for example the data contain 4 packets if 3 packets are successfully transmitted 1 packet will re transmit during the tcp because it was connection oriented.
while coming to UDP.it was connection less protocol because it can't re transmit the if the data will be miss.for example while talking with other person if based on some network issue the data cannot reach to the person.if we used tcp the data can be same sent all data need to reach the other person.so the other person don't know when he get the data so during this situation we used udp and live streaming which are like recorded videos udp can be used
this is the main difference between both so based on that tcp is reliable and udp is not reliable
#If you have any doubt or more information needed comment below..i will respond as possible as soon...thanks..
What is the difference between TCP and UDP terms of connection overhead and reliability?
Describe the difference between connection-less and connection-oriented services. Research the 1024 well-known ports and perform the following. List a service and port number. Provide a brief description of the service. State whether TCP or UDP is used.
True or false. TCP provides a one-to-one, connection-oriented, reliable communication service. In contrast, UDP provides a one-to-one or one-to-many, connectionless, unreliable communication services.
What is meant by the terms validity and reliability? What is the difference between the two terms? How do both affect generalizability? Use an example to support your explanation.
14. UDP is a connectionless protocol (A) TRUE (B) FALSE 15. TCP is a connectionless protocol (A) TRUE (B) FALSE 16. If a UDP segment is lost, reliability is guaranteed by the transport layer via the use of an acknowledgement protocol. (A) TRUE (B) FALSE 17. If a TCP segment is lost, reliability is guaranteed by the transport layer via the use of an acknowledgement protocol. (B) TRUE (B) FALSE
What is the difference between validity and reliability in psychological measurement? In terms of probability testing, what are the practical consequences of low reliability?
. Consider a TCP connection between Host A and Host B. Suppose that the TCP segments traveling from Host A to Host B have source port number 37 and destination port number 61. What are the source and destination port numbers for the segments traveling from Host B to Host A? . Suppose a process in Host C has a UDP socket with port number 6789. Sup- pose both Host A and Host B each send a UDP segment to...

Consider TCP connection management. How many segments are typically involved in the TCP connection establishment? What TCP flag(s) is/are set in each of these segments? How many segments are typically involved in the TCP connection teardown process? What TCP flag(s) is/are set in each of these segments? Please give the general relationship between the acknowledgement number in a segment that is answering a segment and the sequence number in the segment that is being answered. comment:(please write the answer by...
