Explain which eukaryotic organelle you think is the most critical to the cell
In this case, I would say that the
mitochondria is the more critical organelle. Imagine that you are a
cell and someone
tighten your neck and you are not able to breath. What would
happen? Well you will die because you are not able to breath. If
you are not able to breath you can not take the oxygen from your
environment in order to use it in the cellular respiration.
Remember that the process of cellular respiration takes place in the mitochondria. This organelle is basically our powerhouse, where our cells produce ATP for all of the metabolic processes of the cell and our body. So, if the mitochondria where disrupted, the cell will collapse and die.
