We know, Variance = (Standar ddeviation) .

So, Variance of Company A = (40)2 = 1600. (Ans).

Similarly variance of company B = (20)^2 = 400.

Since, variance is a measure of dispersion and Company A has higher variance, so, company A has larger dispersion. (Ans).
