while the lecture emphasized and if we talk about the advantages of cloud computing following are some advantages of cloud computing:

-cost savings:in cloud computing the cost play an important role we know that all of us want to buy that cloud which are cost effective and more useful because approx  25% of organization are always concerned about the initial cost of implement of cloud based server and once you're on cloud you can easily access you company data anytime anywhere and by doing this you are saving lots of time.

-increased collaboration :we know that in our businesses we have two or more than that employees,then we should be making collaboration a top priority and cloud computing make collaboration very easily and by this in company employees can easily share or access data and make their work fast and it is secure too.

-mobility:approx 2.5 billion smartphone are being used globally and cloud computing allows mobile access to corporate data via smartphones and devices by the using the cloud you can offer conveniently accessible information to your sales staff who travel,freelancer employees or remote employees for better work balance.

following are the some challenges/pitfalls associate in general with cloud:

-security and privacy:as we know that cloud service providers provide best security standard but we must not forget what happened at code space and the hacking of their aws ec2 console.in data protection at many time cloud services provider failed many time and hacked by hacker and it happened because the failure of user authentication by this services providers needs to monitoring who access the data.in security we need to take care of DDoS attacks it stands for distributed denial of service.data lose is also a biggest challenge of cloud computing.

-Downtown:it offered downtown often cited and it is a major disadvantage of cloud computing .it is cloud computing internet based services.downtime occur for following reason outages due to natural disasters ,no disaster recovery plan etc.at the time of downtime no one can work on it or no one can make their work active.

limited control and flexibility:we know that the cloud infrastructure is entirely owned,managed and monitored by the services provider and by this their are minimal control of customer on cloud.a services provider use licences agreement and management policies and by these policies their are not any control of their data which they store on cloud and the customer have not many option to store their data and by this the customer loss their control on it.
