Complete the course project by proposing three strategies to reduce delinquency for the juvenile in your hypothetical scenario. Each strategy should be provided in a separate paragraph that includes your proposed strategy as well as supporting rationale.
Scenario: Josh has a troubled family history. His mother Susan is single mom who became pregnant when she was 20. The pregnancy was unplanned, and Susan never married the father. (who was into a lot of drugs and frequently beat up his girlfriend). Susan had to work during the entire pregnancy and was ostracized from her friends’ group for becoming pregnant during high school. The father also was abusive emotionally and physically until Susan cut off contact with him during her last trimester. She has minimal support from her parents but did graduate high school. She did take some community college courses and works as a cashier in a nearby supermarket.
