In this unit, we cover personality and values. What is Personality? What factors contribute to determining personality?

The word personality comes from persona that means theatrical mask. Everyone has their own way of expressing themselves and has own behavior. Personality is a combination of person's behavior, thinking and feelings that differentiate the person from others.

Factors contributes in determining personality

Social factors - Social factors is very important in developing personality. Personality is influenced by the social experiences that takes place around him and this affects family relationships, workplace relationships and community involvement.

Biological factors - Biological factors contributes in determining the person's personality. It is proven that the father's personality and child's personality has almost similar brain stimulation.

Physical factors - It is the most essential factor that performs an important role in determining the personality such as person's height, skin color, beauty, color of hair etc.

Cultural factors - The culture and traditional practices plays an important role in determining the person's personality such as values and norms, customs, rules and regulations in which the person lives.
