Brand personality of any company is like its human characteristics or traits to which customers and other stakeholders can relate with. The brand personality of Nike is percieved as Athletic.

They pride themselves on providing the best athletic gear.

They have an appeal to all athletes no matter what sport. They have successful products in every major sport around the world. Baseball, basketball, football, soccer, tennis, golf, track, and the list goes on and on.

If you go to any sporting event, chances are you will see multiple athletes sporting Nike gear. Since they create a personality of being a cool, successful athletic brand, athletes want Nike.

Another thing that supports their brand personality is the amount of world class athletes that endorse Nike. Lebron James, Venus Williams, Tiger Woods, and Michael Jordan are just a few of the top athletes signed with Nike.

Nike is unique in the fact that they have a huge target market. They target athletes, but they don’t focus on a specific age range. Nike has appeal to athletes from adolescence, to adulthood, to parenthood. Anyone from birth to 80 who strives to be an athlete can be seen wearing Nike.

Nike has a focus on their personality of being sincere. They want customers to see their genuine passion for their running shoes. The founders were actual runners so they wanted people with their common interest to have success in the sport. They have to show interest in the consumers to show that they are sincerely concerned with the quality of their performance in running and other athletic performance.

This brand personality affect its organizational culture because In Nike, employees are treated fairly. Nike has policy to give attractive working conditions, compensation, and other benefits to improve standard of living of its employees. Company also believe it owning its mistakes small or big in public. Nike has good organization culture which supports welfare of its employees, customers and society at large.
