Freight transport refers to the physical movements of goods and cargo through various modes of transportation like ground, sea, air, etc. It is considered much more than that because it is the most important step of supply chain. The freight transport is not only required when products are finsihed and it has to be sold to buyers or customers. Freight transport is used right from the starting of supply chain when raw materials or other resources are required to start the operations. Under this transportation, the exporter has to pay frieght to the specified location. Frieght is the form of expenses incurred on the transportation of cargo along with insurance charges. The freight transport plays important role in an economy and business processes.
