Answer #1

Fatty acids are activated in the form of fatty acyl coAs and are broken. This process generates an
acetyl coA for each turn of the cycle. These acetyl groups are oxidized and NADH is generated which are fed
into electron transport chain.

Hence option B is correct answer

Cellular respiration: The Electron Transport Chain The breakdown of glucose ends during the Krebs cydle; however, it is important to note that the energy previously contained in glucose is mostly stored in NADH and FADHz. In the last step of celular respiration, the high-energy electrons within NADH and FADH2 are passed within a set of proteins found in the inner membrane of the mitochondrion, collectively known as the electron transport chain. The electrons provide the energy to create ATP, which...

Below are statements regarding the body's inability to convert fat to carbohydrates. Select the statements that are true. There is more than one correct answer. Select all the correct answers. The acetyl CoA that is produced from the oxidation of fatty acids enters the citric acid cycle, but does not lead to a net gain of pyruvate. Metabolism of odd-chain fatty acids yields propionyl CoA, which is converted to succinyl CoA and can enter the citric acid cycle. The decarboxylation...
