Weak Ties refers to the relationships we shared between the groups of people who are not directly connected to us. We don't interact with them daily or know them personally. We mutually or barely know them. It makes the connection weaknand thats why called Weak ties. Although, weak ties have their own strengths which are as follows:
1. Exposure to New People: One of the main benefit of a weak tie is the exposure we'll get with the new people. By stying in only one group all the time, we don't seek to get any challenges to talk to new people. By using the weak tie, we can explore more people and how they are, their behaviour and different concepts for our growth.
2. Professional Opportunities: By interacting with more weak ties, we can get to know about the mutual relations and choices we share. A weak tie is effectively proven to provide a better job opportunity as a stronger tie. Many opportunities could be tapped.
3. Exposure to New Ideas: Apart from opportunities, think about the varieties of new ideas, new creativity and information that could be exposed while interacting with a person you barely know. You can get all the useful insights to talk to.
4. Knowledge Sharing Among Groups: At last, the relationship of the weak tie is the among which makes the different group in the organisation to talk. It is the reason why new people meet, why new ideas are generated and why concepts are made. We get our from our strong tue to know about the weak tie which gives us the power to knowledge.
