You are the Human Resource Manager for an organisation, an organisation of your choice. You can take your own organisation and have been asked by the CEO to investigate the impact of leaders on the operations of this ever-growing company.

You will need to produce a report for the senior leadership team that includes the following:

Good Leadership is essential for any kind of business. Organization will grow if leadership is good .If leader is not good then people within the organization will get Demotivated and it will affect business growth.

Consider an Telecommunication industry (Ex.Huawei) as an example for the discussion.

Huawei is china based company which is delivering Telecom hardware and software to the telecom operators. Also huawei delivering Smartphone’s to the consumers. Overall this company is playing a vital role in the digital market area .

If you at look at the leadership styles in general ,there are 3 leadership styles in the market.

1. Autocratic or Authentic Leadership

2. Democratic or participative leadership

3. Delegate or Leisure leadership

1. Autocratic or Authentic Leadership-This leadership gives the clear Direction the employees and it expects the compliance from all employees. Problem here is only leader will participate much in the discussion, other employees will not be encoruaged.It will be like one way communication. This style will not encourage two way communications.

2. Democratic or participative leadership-This leadership will give clear guidance and support the employees. It encourages team to participate in the meeting/discussion. Normally it encourages the two communications to achieve the business goals.

3. Delegate or Leisure leadership-This leadership will not give any direction to the employees .Simply people need to learn themselves and work in the organisation.Here employees will not guidance or support from the leaders

If we look at the above leadership style ultimately Autocratic & Delegate leadership is not good. It never encourages two way communications. If we look at the Democratic or participative leadership, this will encourage two way communication .Also here effective discussions will he happen for the issues and mutual support will be there for the business growth.

So in huawei all leaders need to follow Democratic or participative leadership style to achieve the business success.
