Answer #1

In disaster planning, mitigation is more important than response in my opinion. This is because mitigation refers to all possible steps taken to resolve the disaster and make efficient strategies for effective disaster planning so that the same can be mitigated. Disaster mitigation involves collaboration of various teams and local agencies to identify the disaster occurance, analyse it's core cause, implement ways to mitigate such disaster and it's occurance in future and establishing control steps to prevent any such disaster incident in future as well. Hence it is very important to identify and mitigate the core cause of disaster and provide a safe environment to the citizens.
